Camp River Run Summer Camp
What is summer camp?
Camp River Run Summer Camp is a 4 day, 3 night camp at Hidden Paradise just outside of Fairfield, Idaho for children ages 7-17 fighting life threatening illness or disabling/ongoing medical conditions. We spend 4 days crafting, playing, and making friends!
Each camper is paired with a counselor for the entire duration of summer camp.
Camp has a medical team dedicated to camper safety.
The Camp’s Activities Team plans exciting activities from sunup to sundown to keep our campers engaged and having fun!
Parents/Campers FAQ’s:
What activities do you do at summer camp?
Our activities are based on the theme for the day. Each year, our themes change. In 2022, we had:
Sports/Olympic Day - Ropes course, Archery, water balloon fight followed by cabin wars (color powder fight)
Western Day - Gold mining, lasso competition, dance party, s’mores around the campfire
Other activities include dressing up, crafts, water activities, and even some scheduled downtime!
Why can’t my camper bring electronics to day camp or summer camp?
Our kids are bombarded by electronics on a daily basis. We hope to keep your kids active and potentially even push them a bit outside their comfort zone. Electronics make it hard to keep all kids engaged in activities.
What should we pack for summer camp?
There is an updated packing list in our downloads section on the website. You’ll also go over what to pack, and not to pack, during Meet and Greet.
Who can attend summer camp?
Children ages 7-17 fighting life threatening illness or disabling/ongoing medical conditions.
Generally, a medical diagnosis qualifies a child for Camp River Run camp. If you have questions, apply for camp and our Medical Director will reach out to learn more about your camper.
Parents/caretakers DO NOT attend summer camp with their children.
What does it cost to participate?
Nothing! Camp families are not asked to put forth any funds for their camper(s) to attend camp. All funds are raised through fundraising events and campaigns.
Can eligible siblings attend camp together?
Yes! We have several siblings that attend camp together. We do make an effort to separate siblings to encourage participation and moving outside their comfort zones.
