Continuing Summer Camp Magic All Year Long
Blake has an ongoing medical condition, food allergies and because of his diagnosis, he relies on a G tube to receive most of his meals. Because of this, Blake has often felt isolated from being a typical kid. He is often left out of birthday cakes at parties and the cool snack during school celebrations.
This all changed when Blake attended his first camp this summer. With the accommodations for kids just like Blake, he was able to go swimming, play dress up, but the most important thing was Blake was able to have s’mores around the campfire with his friends.
“Yeah mom, I got to sit with my friends and eat s’mores.”
And yet, the reality is that there are many more kids out there, just like Blake, who haven’t had the chance to be a typical kid.
In an effort to keep the magic of summer camp alive throughout the whole year, we are hoping to expand our day camp program from 3 times a year to 5 times a year.
A gift from you today of just $25 will send a child to day camp. You will give a kid like Blake, the opportunity to attend one of the day camps being offered throughout the year and any gifts above and beyond will go to the next greatest need.
